General Lab Safety

EH&S is devoted to maintaining a safe work environment. Strict adherence of fire and life safety regulations minimizes the risk of fire, property damage, and injury at GUMC. The Office of Environmental Health & Safety is responsible for the control of chemical, biological and physical hazards within the GUMC’s buildings and laboratories. Programs designed to implement GUMC policy and procedures have been established to protect the health and safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors, as well as, to meet the regulatory requirements established by OSHA, EPA, NFPA and other Federal and local authorities.
